Earth is a terrestrial rogue planet formerly part of the Sol system and the former home for the human race prior to The First Voyage. It was known for being the only known planet in the Milky Way to harbour intelligent life, as the discovery of other intelligent life was not possible until after it was abandoned.

Earth was formed out of a nebula in the region that previously formed the local star Sol among other planets such as Jupiter and Saturn. Gravitational disruptions caused Jupiter's orbit to slowly approach Sol, which, due to the provided gravity of Jupiter, caused the nebula to concentrate into planetesimals that quickly formed into Mercury, Venus, Earth, Theia, and Mars.

Several tens of millions of years later, Theia came on a collision course into Earth resulting in it getting completely destroyed, as most matter was transferred to Earth, the remnants were pushed out into a stable orbit to slowly form what is now Luna.

Various hundred million years of heavy asteroid bombardment followed, containing water, and possible amino acids that allowed for the earliest life to emerge.
