Consciousness
In astral sciences, consciousness, also referred to as the spirit, the conscious mind, or the soul, is the umbrella term for astral entities that inhabit physical bodies within the third-dimensional space of the Omniverse.
Any species that have consciousness are sentient, and in very little cases are they not despite having consciousness, as well as only few recorded cases of sentience outside consciousness, the most popular ones being the Oppressed, Necronian Zombies, and [TBA].
Anatomy
Consiousness are composed of meta matter, which has no physical form in the Omniverse, however appears as a large blue ball of light in Transreality.[1]
Because it has no physical form, Consciousness can be used to phase through all types of walls and barriers, and to be used for "remote viewing", where they can view other areas of their creation through performing meditation.
Formation
It is currently unknown how consciousness is created. Theories from most top astralogists indicate that they are created through unknown means in a sector of Transreality dubbed The Great Before. During their time in this region, they slowly grow over unknown amounts of time until they are ready to inhabit a body. They are then sent down into the Omniverse, where they travel around until they find a body to inhabit.
Inhabitance of organisms
Spirits are capable of inhabiting most organisms across most creations, regardless of their dimensionality, technology of civilisations if present, or any other factors.
Some organisms such as humans can only be inhabited once their brain has developed enough cognitive ability to sustain their existence. Once inhabitation is successful, they are immediately loaded in with all of the brain's existing muscle memory, including language, culture, and body operation. They are not loaded with any of the memories that the organism had experienced prior to inhabitance.
Surveys across young human children indicate that most spirits rapidly forget their origins from The Great Before over a period of months, primarily due to it being overwritten with new memories. There are some rare occurences however, where some children are capable of remembering small details, including their previous inhabitants (dubbed by them as "past lives").
Upon the death of the host, the consciousness is released to find another host, or travel back to Transreality to an eternal afterlife retreat known as Heaven.[2] Some consciousness that are considered to be unworthy of said afterlife (also known as sinners in some religions such as Abrahamic Monotheism) are taken to a different portion known as Hell, where they are eternally tortured and eventually evaporate back into meta matter.
Abilities
- Astral travel: Conscious beings, with provided meditation / REM sleep, are capable of exiting their inhabited body temporarily to travel around their local creation. It is not always perfect, and the modifications their inhabitants's brain may have made to the consciousness could alter the accuracy of what they see.
- Remote Viewing
- Further abilities are being devised.

- ↑ According to studies from astral travel, most subjects indicate that consciousness appears differently in transreality. This is believed to be the brain altering it to a form that it can accept.
