The StarGo (full ship class: StarCargo) is a civilian/cargo mini-hauler shuttlecraft for small cargo, often used for carrying small amounts of supplies between planets in a star system. It is a modified version of the original OrbCargo shuttlecraft designed prior to The First Voyage.
Structure
The ship is small compared to other models, however has 12 cubic metres of internal storage free for cargo capacity, with the rest of the ship being reserved for the cockpit and the internal structure. It is surprisingly small for most interplanetary ships, and because it is small it is only capable of doing around 2 warp jumps before running out of power, even with highly efficient engines.
It has a model WM-3 miniature warp drive to allow it to reach a maximum speed of 0.2c. This takes up most of the battery power on the ship.
it uses amplified ion engines to reduce weight caused by heavy fuels such as liquid hydrogen, and instead carries xenon gas in compressed liquid containers, that release it at faster speeds than regular xenon gas.
Arsenal
The StarGo has 2 small-sized plasmatic turrets on the port and starboard sides, reserved only for self defence and use up a lot of the ship's energy. They prove effective for distracting enemy ships to allow them to escape. Some third-party dealers remove these turrets to cut costs.
